Post subject:  About to purchase a PVR-250 from Ebay

Initially, from reading the success stories in this forum, I was fairly confident that the 250 would work out of the box. After further reading though, I'm worried I'll pick up a 250 that wont in fact work. Does anyone know the card that should be avoided? Is it the MCE version of the 250? I'm a little confused right now, as I read about people getting different results with different 250. Any input would be appreciated.

Based on what Kaziya's discovered in this thread, I will be purchasing a 250 MCE version. Thanks Kaziya.

You're right! I was going with him. I'll have to explore his site...looks like he's got a lot of htpc stuff. Very nice.

Yeah, which is too bad, considering I already have a 401 card I was wanting to try as well...did you say that this limitation would be fixed in a couple of weeks?
