I would like to move my myth directory to an external hard drive.
This Asus motherboard has a VIA 6307 Firewire chip on it.

Are there any Firewire hard drive enclosures that are proven and known to work in KnoppMyth?

The COOLMAX 15436 3.5" USB + IEEE 1394 + SATA External Enclosure seems to be the ideal hard drive enclosure, but I wonder how compatible it is with KnoppMyth?

I have a external drive enclosure (only USB2) connected to mine. I have no IO issues with this. I decided that firewire wasnt worth the extra $$. Not all devices have firewire, all have USB and when i take my drive out and about i dont want to lug 2 sets of cables around.

I just made sure that my case was aluminium, self powered (using a standard jug cord) and had internal fans. the 500G drive i have in it needs all the cooling it can get!.
