Post subject:  PVR-350 audio question

I must be going crazy, but I could of sworn when I first installed R5C7 (a fresh install, with a PVR 350 as card 1 and a new PVR 150 as card 2) that when I was watching live TV or a recorded program, the audio was coming out of my sound card without my having redirected the pvr 350 audio into my line in on the sound card. Since I didn't want audio coming out of my sound card I fooled around with the myth settings and checked the "TV Audio through PVR-350 only" which caused the audio to come out of the 350. Well now I want to go back and have the audio come out of my sound card, but it won't. Is it even possible to have myth/linux split the audio stream from a pvr recording so that it is redirected to the sound card without using the cables? I swear I had it working like that. Any thoughts?

Yes. It's just a matter of getting back to the right settings.

Hang on while i try to find the right ones in the DB... OK, the check box controls the variable PVR350InternalAudioOnly, you may need to check on muting with alsamixer or what your audio devices (AudioDevice, AudioOutputDevice) are set to.

I don't think it is possible to play the audio from your soundcard while using the hardware decoding of the pvr-350. You need to loop the audio from the pvr-350 into the soundcard's line-in.

I think when you first installed R5C7 you might not have enabled the hardware playback feature of the pvr-350. That is the only way I know of to get the audio to playback from the soundcard directly.

Post subject:  settings file

Is it possible for someone who has managed to make this configuration work to share their prefrences file so that I can load it into aumix?

I have been unable to make this work, and I have somehow broken the audio output altogether.

thanks, in advance, for any help
