I am working on getting iMon VFD that is built-in to my silverstone LC10m working. In my attempts to get it working, I was following some instructions in this post by rdj on another forum

That forum is not very active, so I thought I would try to pick your brains.

Let me give a little history to help. I had this VFD working about 6 months ago, but I was doing a lot of experimentation back then and I have since reinstalled KnoppMyth completely many times. I decided to get it set up again yesterday. I installed lirc 0.8.0 and lcdproc 0.4.5 from source. Unfortunately, I didn't uninstall either before doing that, so I may have messed something up there.

Following the instructions in the above post, I removed /dev/lcd0 and rebooted. After the reboot, /sys/class/usb/ no longer contains an lcd0 directory. Is this supposed to be created automatically by the OS? Is there a way to recreate this manually? I did a backup recently, so maybe the best option will be to simply restore from that and start over with the VFD install process.

Perhaps you can provide details on how you got it working.
