Working with ivtvctl, I tried a few checks and came up with this:

ivtvctl -J
Ioctl: IVTV_IOC_G_DECODER_REG failed (20 lines for all 3 commands)
00 01 02 03....to 0F

ivtv -G
ioctl: IVTV_IOC_G_ENCODER_REB failed
same message as above (00-0F)

ivtv -I
ioctl: Input detect failed (cannot read SAA regs)

What am I doing wrong here, if anything. 'Just getting into using ivtvctl, so
I'm new at this, but this doesn't look correct.
R5C7, PVR-350 & 500, composite in, S-video out: unit working fine with 350, 500 gives a picture but not really that good, PIP works, everything seems to work including remote (silver), using ivtv-0.4.4.
Any comments appreciated.

This is from the kernel, daemon, & X logs, showing something's really wrong. Yet everything is working to some extent; pvr-350 gives a good picture, just needs a little better sharpening or focus to it.
Strange thing too is that my /dev/video is set to 39, not 48, and it's working; if I set it to 48, I get no picture.
Any comment appreciated.
