Does KnoppMyth (or the stripped down version of Debian installed) support USB v2.0? I ask because I attached an external drive via USB in order to transfer some files to my backend and I was able to navigate to and transfer the files but it seemed extremely slow. If there is currently not support for USB 2.0 is there some driver I can install? thanks. FYI, I'm still running R5A30.2 |

It can definitely support USB 2.0. The KM box can read and writes a thumb drive far faster than the machine at work which is only USB 1.x. However USB storage devices seem to be very CPU intensive for some reason (I learned this using a CF reader with the media from my digital camera), so a slow CPU can be a bottleneck. |

also do lsmod | grep hcd if you do not see ehci_hcd then do modprobe ehci_hcd that is the module for usb2.0 |

Thanks for the help, guys. It must just be as tjc said and the processor is slowing it down, because I do have that module... Is there any why to see how hard the processor is being worked in linux? Sort of like a Task Manager in windows? |
