I was looking into buying the PVR-500 from Hauppauge because of dual tuners, but there seems to be only 1 input for the coaxle cable and a second set of inputs. Anyone who has one willing to explain to me how they use it for 2 video sources and if there is a the ability to hook in two coaxle inputs? (from the site it looks like one is for the FM tuner and the other is for the cable). |

The pvr-500 has two mpeg encoders and two video tuners. It automatically splits the cable/antenna signal between the two tuners (one tuner for each mpeg encoder). The card's backplate has s-video/composite/RCA_audio connectors for one of the mpeg encoders. There is a seperate internal cable and backplate with s-video/composite/RCA_audio connectors for the second mpeg encoder. edit: corrected my typo. |

That would be PVR500 not PVR350 of course. |
