I get a randomly jitery picture, as well as the image getting worse the higher the channel number that I get. ASUS A7V8VX| Socket A AMD 2100+ Maxtor 200 GIG ide 133 drive Lite-on DVD-RW 512 MB RAM Sound Blaster LIVE! Haup. TV-500 Dual Tuner Card Haup. TV-150 /W remote I Have digital cable going into the 150 card, and I can change channels on the Box, and they change in the system, but the image seems jumpy. But on the two tuners on the 500 card, the image is HORRIBLE, worse then it seems to be worse sounding then in http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=10511 I cant even see anything once i get into the 30's. I have a booster before the system, so i know the signal is strong enough, and a picture is clear on a television. I tried all cable types, irc, hrc, even though i KNOW its IRC in my area. So thats what i have it set to. I recompiled IVTV, before, just to get my system working. But it still looks like crap. On an unrelated note, will someone help this Linux n00b, and tell me a step by step command sequence so i can set the refresh and such correctly for my nvidia card, so i dont blow up my television? Thanks so much guys! |

I've also had horrible luck with PVR 500 cards. I'm starting to think that they are just manufactured poorly. I bought one from newegg quite a while ago now, that one had some snow but was viewable. I returned it for another, then another. I'm on my fourth or fifth one now and they have all had problems. I tested them in a separate Windows box, just to make sure something with my Myth computer wasn't the real cause. Check my thread http://www.mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=10944 in the MythTV section. I included a brief video showing the current happenings. I can't seem to get a decent recording in Myth for the life of me. |

Just to clarify, live TV is a recording. So if you've got problems with your recordings, you'll probably also have them with Live TV. |

The main difference between "live" and a "recording" is that they use different recording profiles, and if you selected the checkbox in setup to minimize conflicts between recordings and live TVs which end of the list of input they start at. |
