Post subject:  Problem viewing low band (ch 2-6) with PVR15O --SOLVED

Thanks in advance for everyones help. I have searched, but am unable to come up with much.

After setting up Knoppmyth R5C7 on a Hauppauge 150 (I have the same problem on the MCE and non-mce versions, as I have tried both)

I can view ALL channels, but ONLY channnels 2-6 (low band) are very fuzzy.

If I hook the cable up to the TV, I can view ch 2-6 very clearly.

Testing I have done:

I put the 15O card in another computer and used the windows setup, and Ch. 2-6 are very clear.

Tried my Hauppauge 350 in the Knoppmyth system with the exact same cables that show a clear picture on the (previously mentioned) windows system, and I have a very clear picture. (So it seems to be a 150 card problem. (This happens on both the 150MCE and non-mce cards)

As mentioned, I have tried two seprate Hauppauge 15O cards and both have had the same fuzzy channels (2-6).

Also, I have tried adjusting the frequency's, but that was no help.

I have downloaded and installed Nvidia drivers 8762. and IVTV 0.4.6. I am using kernel 2.16.

my system is a
p4 1.8
hd 40 & 200
1g ram

Thanks again for any help.

SOLUTION: it appears the graphics card was the issue. I moved it to another PCI slot and the channels came in perfect.

I bet it was your rf connection. Ch 2-6 are in a different frequency band and are the first to show snow/static when there's a bad connection.
