Post subject:  R5C7 Hauppauge A415-HPG Unknown Keys?

Hi,

i just upgraded my MythBox from R5A26 to R5C7 (something crashed my R5A26).
Everything works fine (thanks to all!) except my remote. I am using a Hauppauge PVR 350 card with A415-HPG remote. While updating the system, the installer asks which remote i own. I've chosen the correct remote, but now i get different key events:
I am getting the "correct" values, which are descriped as DOWN grayHauppauge (pressing the down button) an then (extremely often) i get unknown key.
I do not know where to take a look at... maybe there is someone who also gets this events...

maybe you can record a new keymap file

Check this thread, I found some of the keys were dead in that remote and posted tried to improve remote overall.

Thanks for the answer. But i do NOT have a problem with specific keys, i have got a problem wit ALL keys. By pressing a key, doesn't care which one, i get 4 different codes (2x2). Everytime 1 code for activating and the opposite, deactivating. Normaly there should not be another key event.
In my case there are 2 more events, one for activating and one for deactivating. So by pressing a key i can get Event-Pair one or two...

As a workaround... is it possible to define two (four) events for one key?

Is is possible to have 2 functions for 1 key defined in /home/mythtv/.mythtv/lircrc which is common for volume control in mythtv, with volume control in Xine as well.

Sound like what you have going on is multiple key code definitions in /etc/lirc/lircd.conf

That file maps IR codes to keynames.

Like Khrusher said maybe regenerating a new lircd.conf file using irrecord.

Or can peek at lircd.conf and see if key codes look duplicated.

If there would be duplicate key codes, irw should show another button than the one i have pressed. So irw only shows "unknown key".
It is not reproduceable, so pressing a key shows sometiimes the correct event and sometimes not.

Maybe i can get a workaround by defining another remote in lircd.conf with the "new" key codes.. as another remote. Maybe this works....
