Yes. During the install process R5C7 will ask you, "do you want to enable your pvr-350's TV-output?" Simply answering "yes" to this question will do what you want.

Or as root run
Code:
sh /usr/local/bin/setup_350.sh
That should do the same thing.

Also do not use the bootsplash feature.

I have it set like that already, i dont know about the boot splash thing but all it is showing on the screen are the status displays when you are watching tv. I cant get it to show the guide on the TV. Does my monitor need to be un pluged?

Appreaently not.

Enabling bootsplash would prevent X from loading. Your problems are not related to bootsplash.

I can't really follow what you are saying. What is "the screen"? Is that your TV or your monitor?

If you select "yes" to enable the pvr-350's tv-out during the install, then the entire X desktop will only be displayed on the TV. Your monitor hooked to the videocard will show boot up messages then freeze when X starts.

That would make no differance.

Let me try to explain better...

When i start myth i see can see the entire (myth) menu system on my computer monitor but nothing on my tv. When i begin using the tuner my computer monitor goes blank and i see the video on my TV. When i change channels on the tuner i see the status window pop up and let me know what i am watching. However as soon as i attempt to use the guide (or go to the main menu) the video on the TV goes slightly grey and the guide shows up on the computer monitor.

I want everything to show on the TV, and not have to use the computer monitor for anything... is this possible?

Thanks,
Alex.

Are you a troll? I have already told you exactly how to do what you want. Either:
Code:
1. Run the setup_350.sh script.
2. Reinstall (run mythbackup then autoupgrade) and answer "yes" when prompted to enable TV-out for pvr-350.

What you have done so far is check "use pvr-350 hardware playback" in the mythTV setup menu. This is not the same thing as what I have told you to do.
