Post subject: | Multiple tuners on same Firewire card causes artifacts lag |
I've noticed that when I have more than 1 tuner on a dedicated firewire input card there are artifacts, lag, and bleed over from the other tuner on the card. Has anyone else had this problem. I've currently using Motorola DCT-6200 via firewire with speed set to 200 mpbs. I have 4 tuners, but 3 are connected for right now until I can get this sorted. It works with 2 tuners right now (1 on the motherboard firewire port, and 1 other on the PCI firewire card). I do have a 2nd firewire card I'm about to put in, but that means I would need a 3rd card for the 4th tuner. Why is that? I guess the firewire card is getting TOO much data for the bandwith. I've also tried to daisychain the tuners so Tuner 2 is Connected to Tuner 1, and Tuner 1 is connected to the PC. Tuner 1 and Tuner 2 lag and bleed onto each other's video feed. Please help! Otherwise tell me this is normal and I'll put each tuner on it's own firewire card. ![]() |
