Post subject: | Change 6200 channel via firewire |
Wanted to know the best way to have MythTV change channels on my Motorola 6200 via firewire. 6200ch no longer seems to be included and I can't seem to find it anywhere on the net. Myth seems to have a new method for changing channels via firewire but how do I get it to do it without also capturing from the Firewire port (which i was also unable to get to work)? I am capturing from the S-video port on a pvr350 and want to know what to put in the External channel changing field in the setup. Looked at an irblaster but I have no serial port on my shuttle box. TIA |

I downloaded myth .18 and extracted 6200ch.c from there. I compiled it and now when i run it i get the following: root@mythtv:~/mythtv-0.18/contrib# ./6200ch 10 Could not find Motorola DCT-6200 on the 1394 bus. To add some more info: This is the output of plugreport: Host Adapter 0 ============== Node 0 GUID 0x00159afffef981f6 ------------------------------ oMPR n_plugs=1, data_rate=2, bcast_channel=63 oPCR[0] online=1, bcast_connection=0, n_p2p_connections=0 channel=0, data_rate=2, overhead_id=0, payload=376 iMPR n_plugs=0, data_rate=2 Node 1 GUID 0x00301bb6000047fc ------------------------------ libiec61883 error: error reading oMPR libiec61883 error: error reading iMPR |

here is more detail with 6200ch: root@mythtv:~/mythtv-0.18/contrib# ./6200ch -v 10 node 1: vendor_id = 0x0000301b model_id = 0x00000000 Could not find Motorola DCT-6200 on the 1394 bus. I added my vendor and model ids to the 6200ch.c recompiled and i now get: root@mythtv:~/mythtv-0.18/contrib# ./6200ch -v 10 node 1: vendor_id = 0x0000301b model_id = 0x00000000 Warning: Unit Spec ID different. Warning: Unit Software Version different. AV/C Command: 010 = Op1=0x00487C20 Op2=0x00487C21 Op3=0x00487C20 And nothing happens on the box. |
