Ok so I have the Knoppmyth r5d1 installed and i've upgraded the kernel to 2.6.18-rc6 so I could have support for this my FREE kworld mce 200 deluxe (card=48 ). Yes I did say FREE, my father gave it to me since he wasn't using it ![]() Anyway I have everything else working lirc, ivtv/PVR150, and recompiled mplayer. For the life of me I can't get this thing to work. Looking at the card it has the tda8275/90 tuner chip and the cx23416-12 mpeg decoder and the cx23880-19 broadband decoder. I still can't get scantv or tvtime-scanner to pickup any channels, and I don't recieve any errors that I can tell from dmesg or any or the log files. This card was working in windoze, and I did pull the pvr150 just to make sure it wasn't an issue. Any help or ideas or links that I might have missed during my googling would be appreciated. dmesg: Linux video capture interface: v2.00 cx2388x v4l2 driver version 0.0.6 loaded ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:00:0c.0[A] -> GSI 20 (level, low) -> IRQ 18 CORE cx88[0]: subsystem: 17de:0840, board: Kworld MCE 200 Deluxe [card=48,insmod option] TV tuner 54 at 0x1fe, Radio tuner -1 at 0x1fe cx88[0]/0: found at 0000:00:0c.0, rev: 5, irq: 18, latency: 32, mmio: 0xdf000000 tuner 0-004b: chip found @ 0x96 (cx88[0]) tuner 0-004b: setting tuner address to 61 tuner 0-004b: type set to tda8290+75 cx88[0]/0: registered device video0 [v4l2] cx88[0]/0: registered device vbi0 cx2388x blackbird driver version 0.0.6 loaded ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:00:0c.2[A] -> GSI 20 (level, low) -> IRQ 18 cx88[0]/2: found at 0000:00:0c.2, rev: 5, irq: 18, latency: 32, mmio: 0xe1000000 cx88[0]/2: cx23416 based mpeg encoder (blackbird reference design) cx88[0]/2: registered device video1 [mpeg] cx2388x alsa driver version 0.0.6 loaded ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:00:0c.1[A] -> GSI 20 (level, low) -> IRQ 18 cx88[0]/1: CX88x/0: ALSA support for cx2388x boards cx2388x dvb driver version 0.0.6 loaded lspci -v: 0000:00:0c.0 Multimedia video controller: Conexant CX23880/1/2/3 PCI Video and Audio Decoder (rev 05) Subsystem: KWorld Computer Co. Ok so I did some more research and found out the card is a Kworld MCE 200 PRO which is tossed into a mce 200 deluxe box. As far as I can tell the only difference is the tuner chip and the ID. I upgraded to the v4l cvs and let the kernel auto detect it and now it works somewhat, it shows as card 45 and tuner 54. I can scan scan all the channels but no sound. Im trying to use the internal audio cable so thats probably wrong since I couldn't find any info on the pinout of the connectors on board. The picture quality is lacking, any help or tips to fix this would be great. |
