First off, hello everybody. I've just found the forum after a Google search on simply Knoppmyth. I have a quick question. I have a Pinnacle 300i DVB tuner card. This card only comes with software for Win XP - 'oh, what a surprise '. I've had it for over a year now and have been meaning to get it up and running using Linux. Ok, has anybody got this working successfully with Knoppmyth and are there any issues with it?

I shall be running it on a micro ATX board with a 1.8mhz Pentium processor with 512mb of RAM. I shall probably set the hard drive up as an LVM arrangement so that I can easily add to it in the future.

Any input would be most welcome.

just installed knoppmyth and the pinnacle isn't working....

but as i can see from dmesg it is correctly found by bttv

Hmmm, interesting. Are you using the very latest version of Knoppmyth? I wonder if there are any other variables that can be adjusted?

I'm almost ready to have my workshop up and running. This will enable me to have the room to properly play with different bits and pieces. One of those being setting up a Knoppmyth box and trying my Pinnacle 300i. I also have a digital satellite box that I want to try and connect to it. Once I'm up and running I shall post up my findings.

i am using latest knoppmyth version and upgraded mythtv to the latest version, still having troubles setting up the media 300i, the remote isn't working and the card is not properly recognized by mythtv DVB preference... as soon as i have news i will post, i'm trying out 2 or 3 things to make it work
