I have a USB wireless RF keyboard/mouse combo. On the receving side is one receiver box that has one USB connection. If I leave the USB connection plugged into the pc during boot/reboot it locks up the system right after it finds/loads the USB keyboard and mouse driver. It seems to lock up at different places during the boot process. I have to unplug the usb during boot then plug it in after X /mythfrontend starts then it is fine. It works boot start because I can press DEL to get into bios, just during bootup scripts it locks up the computer. Does anyone have any work arounds? I use a USB mouse on my fedora laptop and it boots fine, so it has to be something in the boot sequence? Thanks in advance. |

dont know how realative this is, but My wireless combo had one PS2 connection and one USB connection and my keyboard (ps2) would work and my mouse (usb) would not. So i finally gave up and took the PS2/USB adapter from my windows box mouse and put it on and it works fine and dandy now. I guess im saying this as a last resort, that the PS2 ports seem to be more universal to me with Knoppmyth or Knoppix in general. |
