Post subject:  irblaster frustration - need r5d1's irblaster - SOLVED!!

I recently upgraded to R5D1. I had alot of issues with HDTV and sound, so I went back to R5C7. Now in the R5D1 irblaster.sh script, it had the option for my dish network reciever , the 301. Now irblaster was something I had only tried with R5D1, and it worked great. But going back to R5C7, i no longer get the option for my reciever. Is there a way to get the irblaster stuff from R5D1 and install it on R5C7?
Is it as simple as copying some files? I have a working install of R5D1 on my laptop. Could it be as simple as copying things over, and if so, what?

Thanks.

ok. i have copied those files as well as the contents of /usr/local/share/knoppmyth/remotes/Dish_Network_301 over to my R5C7 install, and now everything is groovy. All I have to remember to do is schedule the recording to start 1 minute early, so that the irblaster has time to change the channel. To recap, here is what I did.

Get the remote code file from R5D1
Code:
cp -R /usr/local/share/knoppmyth/remotes/Dish_Network_301/ /mythcenter/usr/local/sahre/knoppmyth/remotes/

After NFS mounting mythcenter to the laptop

As well as getting the following files:
Code:
cp /etc/irblaster/channel_change.sh /mythcenter/etc/irblaster/
cp /etc/irblaster/irblasterd.conf /mythcenter/etc/irblaster/
cp /etc/irblaster/hardware.conf /mythcenter/etc/irblaster/

And now everything works great, I did not even have to re-run the irblaster.sh script, although when test running it, the Dish 301 option did appear in the list.

Now everything works. Thanks for all the help.

:-)
