Post subject:  Remote Responsiveness

Hello,

I recently build a myth box and have got it running quite well. Im using a Leadtek 2000xp deluxe with remote for my tv tunner.

The Problem:
My problem is with my remote, it works but its slow. Sometimes when I push a button, I will have to push it 3 or 4 times before it finally responds. When I do the same with the keyboard it is almost instant.

Also, if I am flipping threw channels or scrolling down the program guide, the fastest I can get the remote to respond is a little less than once a second. With the keyboard, it will flip threw channels as fast an I can push the button.

Questions:
Is there anyway to speed up the responce of the Remote?

Is there anyway to hold down a button (the channel button) and it will quickly scroll down untill I let up, like it does with the keyboard?

Thanks for your time

I have similiar issues with the remote that came with my PVR-150. I don't have to push the button multiple times, but I can't scroll quickly.

My PVR150 remote is also so-so when it comes to speed.

I found that ambient light can cause issues. I put sort of a visor made of cardboard above to cast a shadow on the receiver...Did wonders for me.
