I am running Archlinux with kernel 2.6.18. I am having a problem of low quality (tinny) sound whenever I watch TV or recordings. I used to not have this problem in KnoppMyth, and have confirmed it is not a setting in mythfrontend because I can play back old recordings with prefect sound. I am using analog audio out, and having the sound come in through line in since btaudio doesn't support my card (ATI TV Wonder Pro). When I watch TV through TV Time or XawTV, it sounds perfect. When I aplay /dev/dsp, it sounds ok but skips every couple of seconds (underrun!!! (at least 20.620 ms long)). I have tried changing the capture volume, but it doesn't affect it. The sound card is an onboard via soundcard. Any suggestions to remedy/identify the problem?
