Considering my current issues, I'm contemplating upgrading the hardware to completely rule that out. I'm looking for a cheap mother board, that's a mATX form factor so I can get a decent htpc case that looks good. Aside from the smaller form factor, I want a motherboard with onboard network, sound, and video (including S-Video...or something else I can connect to a TV) I don't want to be using what few PCI slots are available in mATX on anything but PVR cards. It doesn't have to be anything fancy...I'm not doing HD and don't forsee a need for it anytime soon. Cheap but functional is key :p |

The Tier 1 and Tier 2 topics are full of recommendations... A bit of browsing ought to turn up something suitable pretty quickly. For example I just noticed one with a Foxconn 6150 based board, which should be quite reasonably priced... |
