HDMI is backward compatible with DVI. So you can buy any card that works with a DVI port and get a DVI to HDMI cable.

monoprice.com is a good place for cables

An nvidia 5200, 6200 or 7300 based card would be fine

If you would like the card to also have the ability to use HDCP you will need to buy one of the 7000 series based cards that has support for it (not all 7000 do).

But is HDCP possible under Linux? I don't believe it is:

says "HDCP has to be commercially licensed."
