Hello hello all... I just saw on a computer magazine in Greece (www.pcw.gr) about knoppmyth! Seemed to me a great project so i downloaded the latest version. The tv-card that i have is a Hauppauge Wintv 2000. The first try was with an Athlon 750 Mhz (Asus k7v mobo) 768 MB ram 40GB HD 32MB Nvidia (dont remember which model) Installation is fine! The TV card is recognized by the system, channels are scanned. So far so good. When i enter the frontend, i go to watch tv, and i see sometimes just a green screen, some others a blue screen. No channel. I tried to change channels with no luck. Then i gave a try to watch a dvd... It starts playing, but i get no sound. My question is... To play the DVD which soundcard drivers will it use? The btaudio or the onboard? Then, i put the same video card to my BIG machine P4 3 Ghz (Albatrom 865 PE PRO II) 1GB Ram 40GB HD Asus 7600GS Nvidia Installation is fine, channels are scanned. When i go to watch tv i can only see the very first channel... When i try to change channel (up or down arrow followed by 'enter') the screen freezes and then it gets me back to MythFrontend (i dont remember the error, i am at work right now) Still i get no sound, even if i try to watch a dvd. Finally i did it. The mixer was the problem, so i increased the recording volume and voila! Now... I have a delay (because the sound does not go through PCI) I use alsaconfig to change the driver to bt87x but then mythtv says cannot open dev/dsp Any clues? |
