Post subject: | Sourcing an IR Blaster/Transmitter in Australia |
Hi Guys, I am in Sydney Australia, about to get into Myth for the first time (currently a TIVO user) I want to control my Optus/Foxtel Digital set top boxes for channel changes - does anyone know of a commercial product available in OZ for (preferably) IR Transmit/Receive or worst case - Transmit only ? Thanks in advance Craig |

I'm in Jindabyne and purchased one from the States just this last week, but only I've realised today it's not a Blaster I need but a receiver! ![]() You could perhaps buy mine off of me if you like... |

I have made a couple of blaster/receivers using bits from dick smith. If you have an old usb device you can chop the cord off, you can power the ir receiver chip straight from the usb +5v which simplifies things. |
