| Post subject: | Solved: Capture Card setup won't save |
I convinced a friend to try out KnoppMyth, and he's having trouble with mythtv-setup. He has a PVR-150, and can select it in the capture card setup, he sets it to /dev/video0, and Tuner is displayed. However, when he selects finish, it does not save and appear on the list of capture cards in setup. Has anyone seen something like this before? His dmesg seems to indicate that the card is identified and setup. I don't have the box with me at the moment to include better details, but I'll get it tomorrrow. |

Check that he's picking the right card type, with current ivtv drivers he should be seeing "tuner1". OBTW - Also make sure you're not getting fooled by a card that's detected as "type 4". See the http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php? ... ngLogFiles page for some specific diagnostics. |

Solved. I just had to get my hands on the box to see that his install didn't go correctly. The database was corrupt. A re-install solved everything. |
