Hello, I am hoping to gather some recommendations regarding the following setup: I will be using a digital cable box. Cable comes in form the wall directly into the digital cable box. From there it oututs in component video/audio. So, my question is what type of hardware do i need to purchase that can utilize this setup. I currently have 2 Hauppauge pvr 150's laying around. I will be using a normal component video/audio TV. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. |

By component, do you mean HD? If so, there is no tuner card w/ component in I'm aware of. |

Those are RCA connectors. The video is composite, not component. Most any tuner supported under Linux have composite in. Are you looking for a software or hardware based tuner? |

this is what i want to do: composite output from the set-top box into the pc then composite output from the pc into the Television control the set-top box with some sort of remote control. I currently have 2 hauppauge pvr 150's and i have ordered a GEFORCEFX 5200 8X AGP 128MB TV OUT DVI NVIDIA GPU Can you recommend what i would need to accomplish the aforementioned desires? |
