My P4-2ghz, 512 meg, 400 gig, pvr-350 box has occasional freeze ups. The only solution I've found is to reboot. I have found some error messages and I'm hoping someone can shed some light on their meaning. i.e. are the messages describing the problem or just noise? I'm also wondering whether I'm causing the problem by somehow activating "time stretch" mode via the remote. If time stretch mode can be activated via the pvr-350 remote can someone tell me how so I can stop doing it? Below are the error messages. Thanks, Abby Dec 11 23:06:28 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: 1000 ms time out waiting for firmware Dec 11 23:06:28 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: Failed api call 0x00000015 with result 0xfffffff0 Dec 11 23:06:28 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: DEC: couldnt read clock Dec 11 23:06:44 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: 1000 ms time out waiting for firmware Dec 11 23:06:44 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: Failed api call 0x00000015 with result 0xfffffff0 Dec 11 23:06:44 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: DEC: couldnt read clock Dec 11 23:06:59 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: 1000 ms time out waiting for firmware Dec 11 23:06:59 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: Failed api call 0x00000015 with result 0xfffffff0 Dec 11 23:06:59 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: DEC: couldnt read clock Dec 11 23:07:15 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: 1000 ms time out waiting for firmware Dec 11 23:07:15 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: Failed api call 0x0000000d with result 0xfffffff0 Dec 11 23:07:15 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: DEC: error pausing Dec 11 23:07:30 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: 1000 ms time out waiting for firmware Dec 11 23:07:30 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: Failed api call 0x00000015 with result 0xfffffff0 Dec 11 23:07:30 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: DEC: couldnt read clock Dec 11 23:07:46 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: 1000 ms time out waiting for firmware Dec 11 23:07:46 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: Failed api call 0x00000015 with result 0xfffffff0 Dec 11 23:07:46 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: DEC: couldnt read clock Dec 11 23:08:01 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: 1000 ms time out waiting for firmware Dec 11 23:08:01 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: Failed api call 0x00000015 with result 0xfffffff0 Dec 11 23:08:01 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: DEC: couldnt read clock Dec 11 23:08:17 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: 1000 ms time out waiting for firmware Dec 11 23:08:17 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: Failed api call 0x0000000d with result 0xfffffff0 Dec 11 23:08:17 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: DEC: error pausing Dec 11 23:08:32 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: 1000 ms time out waiting for firmware Dec 11 23:08:32 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: Failed api call 0x00000003 with result 0xfffffff0 Dec 11 23:08:32 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: DEC: error changing speed Dec 11 23:08:32 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: DEC: error in slow/fast mode Dec 11 23:08:42 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: 1000 ms time out waiting for firmware Dec 11 23:08:42 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: Failed api call 0x00000017 with result 0xfffffff0 Dec 11 23:08:43 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: 100 ms time out waiting for firmware Dec 11 23:08:43 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: Failed api call 0x00000002 with result 0xfffffff0 Dec 11 23:08:43 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: Error stopping decoding Dec 11 23:08:53 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: 1000 ms time out waiting for firmware Dec 11 23:08:53 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: Failed api call 0x00000046 with result 0xfffffff0 Dec 11 23:09:03 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: 1000 ms time out waiting for firmware Dec 11 23:09:03 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: Failed api call 0x00000044 with result 0xfffffff0 |

I had something like this, it was related to using the wrong XFree FB driver the for the version of ivtv that I was using. Are you also getting: (EE) IVTVDEV(0): FBIOBLANK: Invalid argument in /var/log/XFree86.0.log ? Please see the end of this thread: http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic. ... highlight= m |
