Somebody gave me a Pinnacle PCTV HD Pro Stick so I figured I'd try to get it to work with Mythtv.

After screwing up my system a few times (Nvidia tainting the kernel or something..) I have it working, but with many problems.

To get it to work I downloaded the v4l-dvb source with mercurial.

compiled it with:
make ivtv-update (pvr 250 would not be detected without these lines)
make ivtv
make
make install
modprobe em2880-dvb

The tuner will only work if I run the mythbackend as root, but I can deal with that for now.

My biggest problem is that now my pvr 250 works, but I can't change channels on it now (and no i don't have it set up for an external tuner in the setup) Has anyone had a problem like this before and know how to fix it?
