Post subject: | R5E50 & Nvidia card-- dark green display in X |
I've been searching the forums and really can't find any description of how I need to edit X86config or anything else to address this issue. I bought an Nvidia 6200LE and have it connected to a regular monitor. I used the KnoppMyth auto install, but don't know if I have to do manual installation of kernel modules, etc. When I try to do the nvidia-install.sh, it says the driver is already installed. Code: root@mythtv:/usr/src/linux# install-nvidia-debian.sh 1.0-7174
/usr/local/bin/install-nvidia-debian.sh: BEGIN Error: Version 1.0-7184 is currently installed Where are the instructions printed that tell me what I need to do after the install to get this Nvidia card displaying correctly. Ultimately, I'd like to use the TV-out svideo, but that looks a few steps away. Any help appreciated, di11rod |

One of the TroubleShooting wiki pages includes some info about a problem like this where the display is very dark. I think it's near the bottom of the "BalcScreenAfterInstall" page. |

tjc- Thank you so much for pointing me at that nugget of valuable info. I attached a digital-to-analog converter and the display is great. http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php? ... terInstall Noticed that DVD plays like it's in slow motion, though. Will research that problem deeper with the online resources available before hassling the people on the forum. thanks so much!! di11rod |
