I've just installed R5A30.2 on a system with a V-Stream Xpert 7134.

I have no idea how to configure this card for PAL in the UK. I tried going over the UK Myth setup guide on the wiki, but it has absolutly no help what so ever for this card.
Can anyone tell me how I find out card\tuner options and how I should begin to get lirc working with the attached remote??

Many thanks in advance,

Gyro

Well, googling a little harder resulted in getting the driver settings (http://gentoo-wiki.com/HARDWARE_saa7134 card=59) but there is no audio. Can anyone help with that??

I have a soundblaster live. The TV card has (or should have) an MPEG2 encoder on it so will I still need to connect the line-out of the TV card to line-in on the SB Live??

TIA

Gyro

I'm not sure if this will help or not, as I'm about to venture back into the same problem (HDD crashed). When I first got my SAA7134 card, it kept detecting as a SAA7133 for some odd reason. Eventually, I got video, but no audio. I'm not 100% sure what files I changed, but I do remember this:

* The card MUST be set to 32000hz for audio to work.
* By default, audio on the card will be muted. You will have to use an alsa command to unmute.

I wish I could help more, but I'm installing the latest version of KnoppMyth now and I'm not sure if anything's changed. I'll be looking for answers to the same problems if anyone wants to remind me what files I had to edit to make that work. ;)

Thanks, guys.
