Just bought a new Pinnacle i50 (because i thought that my Hauppauge card was to old). But seems that i've got the same (maybe worse) problem. When i boot, knoppmyth tells me in the begin that he can't find a multimedia card. But in the setup menu, he finds one (SAA7134). I read on the site http://gentoo-wiki.com/HARDWARE_saa7134 that this should be correct (or close enough)?

When i now look for 'the list of avaible channels', it crash.

I've don't a complete reinstall with the new card in there, but no luck. Anybody can help me on my way?

i think i'll install windows on it with the soft from the card, just to check if it's working. Hmmm, this doesn't sound good, does it? But hey, windows is most of the time more userfriendly.
But once i found out that the card is working, i'll reinstall the linux. Nicer options i think...

ps i'm not a die hard with linux or technical settings...

Just did some tests with the standard software of WindowsXP and Pinnacle. Everything is working normally (so no problems with hardware / connection?). Only thing was the speed of sound (but it's more a problem of memory i think).

Now reinstall the KnoppMyt R5E50...
I hope that the card will work now...

Anybody has a simular card? Pinnacle 50i (is the same hardware like the 110i)...
