Hey all,
Wierd problem here.. I'm configuring a frontend only on a laptop, with r5a22. When i boot with a liveCD it works like a charm. (thanks cessman). But after an autoinstall to the local HD. Network Card not found. Again i boot with the liveCD and it works!!

Is there a chance there is a different hardware databas on the liveCD then the autoinstall? If my notions are correct, is there a way to update it? I'm still al little wet behind the ears, but im getting better!

Thanks in advance!

Try running netcardconfig manually as root.

so then i modprobe "3c589_cs"... nothing happens..

then i run netcardconfig... and again "No supported network cards found"

any ideas?

Try mobprobing the pcmcia drivers first... From the livecd you should be able to use lsmod to see what it needs...
