Almost there... I just received and installed two Technotrend Budget T1500 DVB-T cards defined in my R5E50, and I believe I can get the channels set by using the channels.conf. The scan for channeld didn't work at least in the first few tries. But my main problem (out of many to come) is that when I'm setting up the EPG, there are two choises. Either use the tv_grab_fi, or the EIT. The EIT goes through, but I would like to use the xmltv instead. When I try to set it up, the progress bar hangs at 50%, and then tells me to check the console. Someone said that I must switch to the console, select "8" and everything goes well after that. The stupid question is: how? What console? Where can I find it? Alt-tab does not show any console windows. Again, I am really grateful for any advice... |

It is probably in the window where you started mythtv-setup. If you started setup with <alt>-s, it won't be available. Start an xterm with <alt>-x, then execute mythtv-setup. Your console will be the xterm. |
