The wife has decided we need another receiver/location to capture from.

Anyway, she made the call to Dish and they offered her the 322 at a really good deal. I see it has 2 tuners. I understand 1 works off of Infrared like my 301 and one is set to be broadcast throughout the house and uses an RF control.
I am only interested in controlling the IR port. Dish says it is built on the venerable 311 Dish platform.
I have two questions, Has anyone out here had success with Dish Network 322 receiver and changing channels?
Since Hauppauge seems to be playing with the PVR-150 chips is there another similar card to recommend?
I know I could go PVR 500 or something of the like but, I will probably build up an entirely new box for this and place it in our Mother-in-law room with a Sat Receiver. then I have a 3rd solution for mom to watch when she is here.
btw, KM is so cool and intuitive with the remote, even my mom figured it out..
