Post subject:  Which video out is best to use? DVI or PVR-350

I got scolded for originally posting this message in installation. I hope this is the right place.

I have a myth box I am building and am EXTREMELY new to both linux and the idea of an HTPC. Please be gentle. I have a PVR-350 and a 440 video card that has the DVI out connector. My TV has the DVI input. My question is basically; which is the best and easiest way to connect the HTPC to the television? I have seen some posts regarding the 350 TV out giving trouble. Can I even use the DVI or VGA output to the TV?

What are the pros and cons?

yes you can use DVI out to the tv. I personally have never done it cause my tv only has component inputs. And I would say DVI is going to be your better choice. You will have to search around a bit to find the resolutions needed ect. but the pvr350 tvout is painfull to setup and it doesn't work well with divx playback. The DVI should work just as well with any sort of playback, and it will be an all digital signal to the TV so in theory that should be the best picture possible.

will probably get kicked for this but I have a DVI cable if you need it for $10 and shipping... I am going another route.
