I had a system running with a Hauppauge 150 with the IR receiver hooked up to it and running fine. Today I added a Hauppauge 401 to the mix.

First issue I ran into is that I am no longer able to run 'alsactl store'. I had previously changed the volume setting for the Line-In to a higher value before I read it should be turned all the way down. I am able to still run alsamixer, but as soon as I try to save the settings, it hangs. I am thinking of removing the new 401 and seeing if I can save modifications before putting it back in.

Second issue: My remote no longer works. I have a feeling this may be tied to the fact that the 401 is being picked up as the first device (PCI slots are numbered from the bottom of the MoBo, correct?). Checking dmesg shows:
Code:
CORE cx88[0]: subsystem: 0070:3401, board: Hauppauge WinTV 34xxx models [card=1,autodetected]
tveeprom 1-0050: Hauppauge model 34132, rev J168, serial# 9821260
cx88[0]: warning: unknown hauppauge model #34132
cx88[0]: hauppauge eeprom: model=34132
input: cx88 IR (Hauppauge WinTV 34xxx  as /class/input/input2
ivtv0: Autodetected Hauppauge card (cx23416 based)
tveeprom 2-0050: Hauppauge model 26132, rev G1B2, serial# 9543877
ivtv0: Autodetected Hauppauge WinTV PVR-150
ivtv0: Initialized Hauppauge WinTV PVR-150, card #0

What concerns me is the
Code:
input: cx88 IR (Hauppauge WinTV 34xxx  as /class/input/input2

Will swapping the PCI slots of my two tuner cards solve this problem? or is there a setting somewhere that I can change? I tried moving the IR receiver to the 401 to see if that helps, but still the remote does not work.

Note that when I added the 401 today, that I deleted all of the existing cards within MythTV-setup to get everything set up correctly.

And Finally: I have only static (noise and picture) on my 401, while the 150 is still working just fine. There should be a post on this last one somewhere, but if you beat me to it, feel free to post a link

Update:

So once I removed to Hauppauge 401, I was once again able to run alsactl store and get my settings back to how they should be. So why it hangs when they are both plugged in is beyond me at this point.

Next, I swapped the PCI slots that the 150 and the 401 were plugged into, this got my remote working as it should be once again. The issue that arises when I do this, is that now the 401 shows only a blank screen when I go to watch TV instead of static like it was before

Originally the 150 was being used for the tuner, so I hit 'y' or whatever it is to switch tuners, it then went to the blank screen for a couple minutes, then kicked me back to the menu. I am also unable to switch back to the other tuner now as any keys I press seem to be getting ignored when I am at this blank screen with the 401 selected as my tuner.

So any tips for getting the 401 to work on a system with an existing 150 already in place? I figure getting the picture to come up is my first order of business, and hopefully once I get that resolved I can put the jumper between the 401 and the soundcard

Here is some of my log for when the 401 was in the system:

I am guessing that the unknown model issue may be a problem.
