Post subject:  New monitor. Performance?

I'm going to be picking up a new LCD monitor that I am going to use for my TV. As of now I'm looking at one with a resolution of 1680x1050 and I just wanted to make sure that my MythTV box would have enough power to run stuff HDTV shows (mpeg2,avi, and wmv. Think mariposaHD for one), emulators at a high resolution near there, and just general system tasks that would be effected by the new higher resolution (currently running at 720x480). Currently I have:
Quote:
- AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Venice (Non-dual core)
- MSI Nvidia 6200 128MB - Fanless + AGP
- 2x512MB DDR 3200
- Seagate 320GB SATA HD (Pretty sure this won't bottleneck)

I haven't gotten XvMC running yet because it hates my component out, but when I switch to DVI I should avoid that problem, so I can probably figure XvMC in to this. Any thoughts?

I'm doing 720p HD with an overclocked Sempron 2800+ and 6200 graphics card with 256mb, and a single stick of 1gb ram. Your CPU is much stronger, it should be fine. If it doesn't work out, look at the graphics card and system ram, sometimes my system ram is just about at full capacity. Let us know how it works out.
