Hi buddies,
Can any good/happy sould tell me how to tune my pvr-150 to like channel 3 or something. What code? where to edit what file? :roll:
:D I have connected the tuner to the Scientific Atlanta 3200 settop box.

Also a silly Question: I hear no sound .. for now I have connected my speaker to the sound card but they are very dead. What do I have to do to configure them. Will I have to install some kind of driver? Any how to I could look at?

I would extermenly appriciate any kind of help :)

I have the same problem with sound. I finally got my PVR-150 to work and I can now watch TV, but the sound don't work at all. Can somebody please help me figure out why the sound don't work?

It's very tough to diagnose anything without details, such as which sound card you are using.

First guess: It's probably muted. Try running alsamixer from an Xterm and unmuting Master and/or PCM (hitting M toggles mute) and raising the volume levels.

A search on these forums for alsamixer will give you many more troubleshooting ideas...

cando - see the BlackScreenWatchingTV troubleshooting page. The configuration walk through there covers cable boxes and provides the keywords you need to search further.

mojoJOJO - If you connected to the cable/sat box with composite (yellow RCA jack) or S-Video for your video signal you also need to make seperate audio connections (red & white RCA jacks to 1/8" stereo headphone jack) to the PVR card. As slowtolearn mentions you may also have it muted or you may have the ivtv/v4l2 capture volume set too low.
