Post subject:  AppleTV as HD Frontend

Claims of the AppleTV running Linux with a MythTV frontend decoding HD have sent me down the road to try this out. The person currently doing this is using Ubuntu as the base. I would rather use KnoppMyth.

I already have the necessary tools; an Intel iMac and a USB hard disk adapter. The initial problem I see is that the kernel patch(es) are for 2.6.20. I was planning on starting with R5F1 which uses 2.6.18. The patches are to a few files and are fairly small.

Cecil, is this something that would interest you enough to provide some help (with kernel config and such)? Anyone else interested? Anyone have experience or advice to share when running the frontend with only 256M or RAM?
