Post subject:  9W AMD Sempron 2100+ CPU: VIA has competition?

This article touts the CPU at 1GHZ. If they made a 2Ghz with this chip's physics it would only be @ 18W.
This puts it in the same class as VIA, however, maybe it will be more compatible with KM. This is a relatively new processor: ideally it would be paired with mpeg2 crunching chip. Any reason not to consider this? Wonder if it works in existing MOBOs?

The mobile 690 chipset apparently supports accelerated MPEG playback:

Don't know that this would be enough for HD, however, one can only hope...
