when i installed myth i had a cdrw drive, now i have an extra dvdrw drive that i would like to add how would i do that?

i just swapped them out but i am getting a xine engine error when i try to play a dvd so i guess ive got to do something else

you shouldn't have to do anything else.

to make your life easier you probably want to make sure that the drive is secondary master. Other wise you will need to make sure that the /dev/cdrom and /dev/dvd symlinks are correct. I believe those symlinks default to /dev/hdc which is secondary master on pata bus.

thanks for the help, i figured out that the drive i had in there before was secondary slave so i switched the dvd to secondary slave and it worked
