Hi, I am about to get myself the hardware necessary to build a pvr using mythtv. I have two graphic cards laying arroung, an ATI All-In-Wonder Pro with a Mach64 chip on it (I only want to use it as a graphics card) and a Noname Voodoo 3 3000. Which shlould I use (best performance playing video)? I will use the SVGA output to my projector, a Sanyo Z1, so 1024 res is needed. Capture using a standard WinTV Go card. thanks! Elkin |

I would go with the ati as long as you are not wanting to use the tvcapture function nor are you wanting to output to a tv. |

because I've never used the voodoo stuff, and I know those old ati chips are well supported by open source drivers, other than the tv part. The voodoo may be just as well supported, but I just don't know much about them and their open driver support. honestly with cards that old it's probably just a personal preference. |
