I am trying to get the audio on the TV working from the PVR-350 card. I have all three RCA cables from the PVR-350's A/V output connector connected to the TV. Video is great, but there is no audio on the TV. The only audio I get is from speakers attached to the computer sound card. I have even tried connecting a male/male stereo mini jack cable from the sound card line-out to the line-in of the PVR-350 card, but still no sound on the TV. I am using R5.5 and have looked at the Hints but still cannot locate where to look. I wonder if anyone can help. Thanks in advance |

You're doing it backwards. To get audio from television shows you're tuning on the PVR-350 you have to plug the audio-out from the PVR-350 to the audio-in of the soundcard. Then use the audio-out off the sound card as the input to the TV. Also, make sure your audio isn't muted in the sound mixer. Go to a command line (ctrl-alt-f1 from the frontend, or remote in using ssh) and type alsamixer. |
