This may have been caused by me updating my nVidia driver, not sure...

Anyway, 1 MBE, 2 X diskless FEs (i.e. they all share the same nVidia driver), all using AGP FX5200 cards.

FE #2 boots fine but fe #1 starts X, gives me the "pre-scaling images" msgs which go to 100% & they go away but then I am stuck on a blue screen. I do not get the mythtv logo on the bottom right or anything else.

Checked mythfrontend.log & Xorg.log. Xorg looks clean enough but the FE log has a lot of odd errors & ends in "QGLContext::makeCurrent(): Cannot make invalid context current." repeated many times.

FE #1 o/ps to the TV using svideo while FE#2 o/ps to a HDTV using the VGA port.

Last nVidia install attempt of mine was using install-nvidia-debian.sh & version 1.0-9639 (i.e. I merely ran this script and didn't go through all the rigamaroo in the UpdateNvidiaDrivers wiki page, should I?).

check-nvidia-driver-version.pl returns 1.0-7185 while install-nvidia-debian.sh --? says "Version 1.0-9755 is currently installed" (yes, we're up to three different versions now).

Yes I will go to R6 eventually. just waiting for the dust to settle.

TIA,

Paul

My driver update hadn't gone smoothly as it turned out. I er-install the nVidia drivers using the manual instructions given by nVidia (as opposed to using install-nvidia-debian.sh) and this worked better & now my FE runs fine.
