I aquired a JVC SVHS VCR some time ago, and it came with a "Cable Eye" IR blaster that has a 2pin (mono) 1/8" jack into the VCR for VCR+ recordings. Does anyone have schematics of it perchance for use with Myth? I have not seen any mention of this device on any forums, of course generic blasters are not expensive - I just HAVE this one and it is aesthetically nice.

Now, the thing I'd wonder is whether or not your Cable Eye already has a resistor inline with the IR LED. I don't know enough about the hardware, not yet having done this myself, but it's something you should investigate before proceeding, unless you don't mind things catching fire or blowing up.
