I finished the proof of concept, and sold some of my stuff on ebay so that I can build this the way I want to.

I decided I like the look of the Coolermaster ATC-620, and am now looking for suggestions on what MoBo, power supply, HDD, etc i should get. I am looking to build a solid system that doesn't overheat, but also keeps the costs under control (not low quality, just relatively cheap).

I will be using the PVR 250.

The easiest thing to do is browse the Tier 1 and Tier 2 forums. You'll find the systems that gave little or no trouble with Myth and can make your own judgements. Computers are sort of a personal statement, no one recommendation fits all. You might also browse the Myth wiki at http://knoppmythwiki.homelinux.org. In particular, note the recommended motherboards.
