Post subject: | adding second pvr 250 |
hi i have the model of pvr 250 that doens't work on auto install... i know this. I recomipled the ivtv drivers to 106u and changed the mode to us-cable-broadcast and i got my single pvr 250 system working. Now i want to add a second. I figgured i'd try just sticking it in. bad idea...now neither works...although for awhile one worked. The cards are identical ie. not one old and one new like some other thread's i've seen. I think the problem is in the /etc/mythtv/modules/ivtv file lines 3 and 4. for one pvr these settings worked fine options ivtv card=85 type=39 options tuner type=39 but how would i have to change these for adding a second tuner? and a third (i'm probably going to add once i can get 2 working). Then also how would i set it up in mythtv-setup? Thanks, Jon |

Okay i have changed the file to options ivtv card=85 type=39,39 options tuner type=39,39 and still no luck... it's still all snow ![]() and under mythtv-setup i have set one capture card as /dev/video and another as /dev/video1 and set the first to tuner 0 and the second to the tuner 0 that is farther down in the list. then in input connections i have set both the /dev/video tuner 0 to cable and the /dev/video1 tuner 0 to cable as well. Is this right? Jon |

okay i've fixed some problems... what i need now is how to configure the mythtv-setup to make them both work. I've gotten one to work and the other to only have the audio working. I've also gotten both to to work but they'd only record the starting channel (3) nomatter what i set it to. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Jon |
