So, I got the Chaintech 7NIF2, and I got the Hauppauge WinTV (401) and PVR 350. I know others have said that this worked, but it didn't work for me. I finally got so irked that I installed windows on the machine, and had a similar experience 350 by itself: good WinTV by itself: good 350 + WinTV: not so good And yes, I've already tried shuffling PCI slots (but there are only three of them.) So, I'm trying to narrow down the problem. You guys who have this working: how many watts are you packing? I'm running a 350watt antec, which, by all accounts, should be enough, but if it's not working, maybe it isn't. My next step is to use Motherboard Monitor to watch my voltages, but I'm gonna be busy all week, so I might not get around to it, but I will be checking in here. |

Oh, and for the rest of my system, I have a 120mm Papst fan on the back, and a 80mm papst fan on the front, both undervolted. I have another papst 80mm on the CPU heatsink, a single samsung cd-rw\DVD-rom, two hard drives, a vantec fan control bay-bus thingy, a floppy drive, and a flash card reader. No AGP or sound card because I'm using onboard video and sound. A gig of ram, and a palomino Athlon XP 2100. |

Gigabyte GA7VM400AM with an Athlon Xp 2200 Two VisionPlus DVB-T cards Two 7200 RPM drives Worked OK for a few months on a 180 watt PSU, then started failing. Upgraded to 300W, has been fine since. 300W is insufficient for three VisionPlus cards. I will try this weekend with my new DVine6SQ case and 350W PSU. |

If you take a look at LinHES, both SBE and MBE came with a 200 watt PSU. The one in MBE blow and I'm going to replace it with a 300 watt PSU. |

A Google search for "PVR-350 watts" claims that the PVR-250 uses 12W, and the PVR-350 uses 13W http://www.poptix.net/ivtv/Feb-2004/msg00308.html |
