I just picked up a box and started working on this last week. I've been able to load pretty much everything and was able to gleen much from the forums. (Thank you!)

I'm having a problem with the video driver and mplayer. When I go to watch a movie it pauses for 10 seconds and then does not load the movie. I found in the /home/mythtv/.xsession-errors that it's having problems loading the vx driver for my intel extreme graphics 2. I looked in the XConfig file and it's loading it as an i810.

The error message that I get from mplayer is:

vo: X11 running at 1024x768 with depth 16 and 16 bpp (":0.0" => local display)
It seems there is no Xvideo support for your video card available.
Run 'xvinfo' to verify its Xv support, and read Xv section of DOCS/video.html !
See 'mplayer -vo help' for other (non-xv) video out drivers. Try -vo x11
Error opening/initializing the selected video_out (-vo) device.

This happens after it loads the title, tracks, codec, and audio.

I'd like to be able to watch movies, I haven't experienced any other video related problems yet. I was able to schedule programs to be recorded but I haven't hooked it up to a cable service.

The box is an Abit Digidice w/PVR 250, 2.6 Pent4, 512 MB, 400 GB (2 x 200 SATA).

Cheers, Jason
