Hi,

I have an HD-3000 working great. I added my PVR-250 and the HD-3000 still works. Whew! (Well, except Live TV sometimes tries to start the PVR-250 and then I'm screwed, but read on...)

The PVR-250 is sort of working because the silver remote control works great. However, I've never gotten the PVR-250 to receive a channel. I don't have cable and just have it hooked up to the antenna I used to use on the TV. When running mythtv-setup and doing the channel scan for the PVR-250 it appears to scan but never detects a single channel. It doesn't say anything, in fact. It just runs through the scan and then stops with no results.

Any thoughts?

As an aside, if it ever did detect channels, I don't understand how I would tell it to get guide information given my multiple-card setup. My zap2it account is in use by the HD-3000 and only lists OTA HDTV stations. Obviously the PVR-250 should get guide data on a totally different set of non-HDTV stations. How do I set that up? I tried to create an additional "Local broadcast" listing in zap2it but it said "This provider has already been selected. Please select another provider." but the other options are all about cable. I want two distinct OTA listings, one for HDTV and one for Analog TV. Lots of people have this working, right? How is it done?

Brian

I can answer your zap2it question 'cause I had the very same problem. Use a different (hopefully geographically near) zipcode. I live in Chicago so I just picked a different Chicago zipcode, picked only analog channels in it, set it up in mythtv, and it works fine.

I have a PVR250 connected to my antenna for analog too but I never did a scan. I thought scan was just for digital sources. If you add in your zap2it info in mythtv-setup and attach that to the tuner input of your pvr250, you should be able to just use them as channels.
