I having trouble getting a picture to show on my PVR-250's . I am using the Tuner as the input for the cable tv. I only see snow when I try Watch TV on my frontend. I am using R4V5 KnoppMyth.

I have updated the ivtv drivers using this post as a HowTo.

I used the ivtv-0.2.0-rc3d driver.
I still only get snow.
When my backend end is booting up, I see that Composite is selected as the input. I do have the video source in the mythtv-setup as Tuner > Cable. Is there anyway I can make sure that Mythtv is using the Tuner input?

Any help would be great.

That was my fault. I didn't see the "PVR-250 Black Screen Fix". I did follow the steps in the post. I am still unable to see picture when I go to Watch TV.

I did check the /var/log/kern.log
I have:
model = 32062
rev = B185,
type = 50

What should be my settings be in: /etc/mythtv/modules/ivtv
This is what is currently in the file


I have changed my /etc/sysconfig/ivtv/cfg-0 to have IVTV_TUNER='4' uncommented.

I do see this message in the syslog
mythtv modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module char-major-81-1

options tuner type=39

That should work for you.

Setting it to 39 made the system crash.

Planning reinstalling KnoppMyth again. I will let know if it ever works.
